I know I'm pulling for Uconn to have the top three winning streaks, but four out of five already ain't bad...

The only individual records that come to mind as comparable in immortal status are the ones held by Cy Young and Edwin Moses.

I guess the only one that comes to mind without researching is the Trinity College squash record of 252 consecutive matches won, including 13 national championships. Not sure exactly how many years it spanned, but it went back quite awhile.

I still include Wayland Baptist College. Yes, the game was a bit different, but the AAU did crown the national championship back then and during their day, they won 131 straight.

Winning streaks also contain undefeated seasons. There are three AIAW teams with undefeated seasons (immaculata 1873, Delta State 1975, La Tech 1981), as well as three such NCAA tournament teams ( Texas 1986, Tennessee 1998, Baylor 2012).

However, Uconn already has five undefeated seasons and a shot at a sixth in this go-round as well. In short, Uconn pride could lead to historical winning streaks and as many undefeated seasons as have been accomplished from 1972-2016!
