This is probably in the post game thread but figured it deserved its own thread.

What was up with the media with Reed, Karaban, and Ball? They open up questions for the 3 of them and 1 media guy asks Karaban a question about the three he shot and he answers it. Then no other questions so the moderator says they can leave. You figure there would be more questions. It was awkward.

Yeah, definitely a little odd.

I also wasn't a fan of Oklahoma's post-game presser with Moser giving zero credit to UConn. Not a single mention of them. I get keeping the focus on the conclusion of your team's season, but at least show some class and congratulate UConn for the win to begin your opening statement.

Seems like cbs also picked up on the funny moment at the end there.

Just watched it. Yes, that was pretty lame. He made numerous mentions of how hard it was to guard our movement but not once said anything about getting beat by the better team.

I agree with Coach, Karaban needs 14+ shots tomorrow. The team needs to be decisive and let it fly with confidence. To have a shot at winning, Karaban needs to be the best forward on the floor tomorrow afternoon. (oh and ofcourse reed +sampson combo needs to play their best game of their season- which could happen)

I'll guess why. The NCAA limits press conference time and Hurley is such a great interview they didn't want to waste half of the allotted time getting pat answers to player questions.

He previously pregame had sounded like a pretty good guy. You just can’t imagine working all year and then having that happen to your team. It’s a very tough pill to swallow at that moment.

Sure, but Porter Moser’s got over 30 years coaching experience, including 20 as a head coach. He knew what he was doing.

Fun fact: he played for Creighton in the late 80s.
