OT: UConn Polo

No, not the shirt, the sport - the horsey kind. I know this is my mini-obsession, UConn polo, but Connecticut is one of the states in the U.S. where polo is a "thing". Anyone that's been to the Farmington Polo Grounds has an idea. Anywho, the UConn women's polo team has won 4 consecutive national championships (2005-2008) and 8 overall. They're a powerhouse that doesn't get discussed. The men's team, which has won 3 national championships, went inactive for a while, I'm not sure why but a student from polo-mad South America has restarted the team. Here's a great video that shows both teams and what the student is hoping to re-spark.

I really want to buy the UConn polo shirt that the team wears but apparently it's not offered by Fanatics . Maybe when they win 15 championships someone will actually start to notice.

Also of interest is water polo. I have no idea where they can buy swim caps that will actually fit a horse.

Just curios, what type of scholarship / NIL deals do the horses get? I wonder what goes into the horses thought process when deciding on what school to attend. Does the horse have to go to class and maintain a GPA? Do the horses get National Championship rings or medals? So many questions.
