Good article from Mike Anthony talking to Demary, Smith and Millender. Something to read with no game until Saturday.

A few months ago there was a thread about the consolidation of the Connecticut newspapers and someone said they don't need the local papers because they can read about any game on a national website and they can watch the pre and post game media availability sessions online. This is the type of stuff we wouldn't have without the local beat writers.

"We all bring something different," Demary said. "We all bring some type of leadership, and toughness, to the position. Last year, it was a spot of need. It wasn't to [coach Dan Hurley's] standard and what he wanted it to be. So he recruited us three in, and I feel like we're doing a good job of just trying to get better every day."

Silas is beyond integral to this team. He's still the only guy who consistently has been a triple threat offensively. Without question, he's the MVP of this team. I just hope that Dan Hurley encourages him to look for his offense a bit more. He can get those floaters and pull-ups anytime he wants. Would much rather have a Silas middie than Solo off the dribble or coming off a curl at this point.

...and 2/3 of this Board thought he was terrible two months ago. Best player on the Team.

Great piece thanks for sharing.

As the season has progressed and Silas has assimilated his game/talents to our strong OOC/BE play style. It looks like the game has slowed down for him. He's reading his opponents/game flow much better now. Gives the team what they need on any particular night while still being a primary focus for opposing teams/coaches.

Brighter lights about to start shining on him more in March. He'll be ready to deliver.

thx for posting

A red herring jumping out of the ocean - a few negative comments does not two thirds make.
Quite a few did not appreciate how good he was early season. Took him a minute to adjust to his new role. Was more score first at Georgia. People were spooked by mahaney experience
