Ny wife volunteers to work at sporting events at New Britain High School which is purported to be the largest high school in Connecticut.
The NBHS girls basketball team won enough games to make it to the post season playoffs this year.
Several weeks ago the NBHS girls team had already won their 1st two playoff games and were scheduled to play Hamden next.
That's when some UConn players happened to show up at their practice.
She doesn't know which players showed up or how many.
But they ended up watching them and coached them to be more aggressive, and to push opponents out of their way to make room & to create space for themselves on the court..
She said that they actually told the NBHS players to "push harder" than they did at first because they still weren't using quit enough force.
According to my wife, NBHS ended up losing the game to Hamden because they played so aggressively that they incurred too many fouls.
That's the end of the story,.
You know what this is about.
The way that they play in high school isn't the same as the way that they play in college.
And playing with too much aggression & pushing opponents isn't the best way to play.
