@DerekPiper247: Also like how Swanigan can handle the ball out in transition. Very few bigs athletic enough to do that.
@scottybscout: Caleb Swanigan fighting through multiple defenders on every touch & for every rebound. Is awesome on the glass at both ends of the floor
He has that big rear Barkley look that allows him to create space and get his shot off. Sign him up.Get a kick out of people who say "nothing above the rim" as if it means they can't be any good? I mean there are many bigs who play above the rim and can't make a freakin shot. He is like Jessie Govan from what I see, creates space, isn't particularly quick but knows where the basket is and that's a damn good thing for his age.
The funniest thing is how many wide bodied bigs over the years who didn't play above the rim ate our guys up? Yes our bigs who played above the rim……..![]()
deadIs this recruitment dead or does UC still have a foot in the door?
Thanks. So pretty much UConn is out on every top 100 left that they offered that hasn't committed yetdead
read something on twitter that uconn offered him back in may... is this just updated for the 2015?@evgeeker: S/O to 2015 @Biggs_Swanigan for picking an offer from Kevin Ollie and the defending champs UCONN Huskies!
It has been going around lately that UConn has been after him and they just offered. Also, he's listed as 2016 but will end up in 2015.

I was all excited until I saw that I posted something back in May.read something on twitter that uconn offered him back in may... is this just updated for the 2015?
@D1Circuit: Spiece Indy Heat C Caleb Swanigan (@Biggs_Swanigan) picks up an offer from UConn. #AAC #D1 @SpieceIndyHeat 5/22/14 6:07 pm
Anyone else you'd like while you're at it? Other than New England kids we haven't had success getting anyone recently, but you sort of expect him AND Stone?kid looks good, offense looks smooth and when he puts the ball down he doesnt look like thabeet or amida. if he can rebound, play physical, and finish when it's his time he'll be solid the first year... i know it's just a video.... if uconn gets him and stone our frontcourt and backcourt is looking really good

Yeah it's worrisome that top recruits outside of this area seem to have little interestBut don't worry, everything is fine.
Pathetic.

Himself? You're really adding a lot to the conversation. Perhaps you could set fire to something?

As rational a recruiting analysis as you'll find anywhere.
Kid is the 8th ranked recruit in his class but he sucks. His nickname here will be Tim Duncan Donuts.
Coach KO must be seeing something I'm missing, to be sure. Video was not impressive, IMO. Looked slow and earthbound. Fat and basketball excellence do not often coexist.
No, I think you have the Boneyard logic wrong. Recruits only suck once they sign with us. Unless and until they do, it should be assumed that: (1) they will be better than any players already on our team; (2) they will be better than any other recruits we do sign; and (3) it will be Ollie's fault if we do not get them.Kid is the 8th ranked recruit in his class but he sucks.
Boneyard logic.
