Would potentially face #16 UMBC in next round then #1 seed UCLA in 3rd round.

UConn draws Quinnipiac in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Huskies will play the Bobcats 6:30 p.m. Thursday night at Morrone Stadium.

UConn has game @ 6:30... unless they are doing like we do w/ my sister-in-law and tell her 1/2 hours earlier than actual time so she'll be there on time.

Intersting that if UConn wins, they advance to play UMBC in Maryland. UMBC has a better record that UConn (16-1-2 v. 11-2-6); but, is in a weaker conference (no other American East team made the NCAA, 3 from the American did) and only played two opponets that made the toruney (Seattle, Navy) while UConn played 5 (Washington, Bradley, Louisville & USF 2x). Guess the American is getting a lot of respect in all sports, cripes.

Seedings probably aren't fair but maybe UMBC needs a test. We really need to play with a little more urgency during tie games like yesterday 2nd half. PK's is a real crapshoot.

Very tough road. College Cup is a real long shot this year with three road games in the way (if we get through Quinny). That's why you have to take advantage of the years when you have nothing but home games. If we make it to UCLA and give them a good game, it'll be a good postseason, all in all.

Doesn't speak well for the AAC that the two finalists were not top 16.

Someone hates us. We are ranked #21, and play on the road against unranked UMBC, which was seeded 16th for some reason? If we win that, we get to play the #1 overall seed UCLA? Those 6 draws killed us.

I'm not that worried about the road game, given that we have sucked at home in tournament games for the last several years. Maybe it will provide a spark.

You don't score, every game is tough whether it's home against Quinnipiac or on the road vs UCLA.

It is really funny though that people actually thought this team was going to the College Cup considering they have handed away 3 appearance since 2007.

And yes the fact they were unseeded is just a sign of what being stuck in a hell hole of a league will do to you.

I may question certain aspects of UConn's coaching staff; but, I will always support the Husky players and hope they do make the College Cup under any circumstance. Go Huskies!

I think it's a sign that the AAC will be getting little respect in the future in terms of seeding.
