No shame in losing to Michigan State. They are probably going to make the title game.

Back to back seasons making the tournament is a big milestone for this program. Always play hard and put pressure on in all three zones. Enjoyable to watch.

Going to miss Ryan Tattle. Worked his way up from a 13th forward or healthy scratch his freshman year to, in my opinion, UConn’s best forward his senior season. Tremendous growth and development and always played hard.

Now Richard, Muldowney, and Viking watch begins
Proud of the team and program. So much progress from where we were when we joined Hockey East. It just feels like every team is missing something. When we had stellar goaltending, we lacked offensive punch. Great D, not enough scoring. Strong goal scoring, the D and goaltending wasn't there. I'm just thinking about all the recent teams. Wondering what it takes to have that more complete team that earns a 1-2 seed.

I do not follow these tjings closely and not sure what makes sense for them but The fact that those three along with Heaslip and Tattle remained on ice for long time and were last to leave it after BU game seemed indicative of maybe they are done. RIchard in particular could come back and really refine his game. HE was very close to being spectacular at times.

MSU is clearly more talented and less disciplined. After three UConn power plays you just can’t give the ref a chance to even it up. That was a soft penalty call and the MSU kid sold it but you just can’t take that penalty after a solid first period
If you're talking about the roughing call, that kid must play MSU soccer as well. I saw a play later in the game where an MSU player jumped a Husky in front of the goal. Nuthin!

On the 2nd double penalty, did anyone see what Samake did to get a roughing? The broadcast showed him take 2 crosschecks and he went to the ground. They didn't show anything after that.
I liked that the Huskies were outshooting everyone, but as noted earlier, they need to be good chances. I know we had a couple good chances today and I know we've seen some good goalies, but you take that many shots, we need more goals.

Well disappointing but we had our chances hats of to msu goaltender he was a brick wall. We need more high talented players. We have a few but most are freshman and their defenseman except for Blaise he will be fun to watch. And shahan will be good next year. Let's hope Richard and Muldoney come back for another season. If not they will need to hit the portal. They do have a drafted forward coming in and a gollie. And they might get a first round defesman pick next year that committed to UConn. Nothing against tattle, heaslip, and frasier their not snipers!

He didn’t do anything. I don’t think the ref wanted to give another penalty to MSU so he called Samake to make it even. It was a joke.

Allain-Samake is going to be a great player. I think he was the freshman of the season for UConn. He has a legit chance at having a long NHL career.

Great to root for a team that grinds so hard. 5 on 5 i think we can hang with any team in the country because of that work ethic.
Unfortunately, we are our worst enemy most times.
Third game in a row we had unforgivable turnovers in our end that led to goals. Difference with the first one was we beat BC in OT.
Their PP goal right before the end of the first period - someone has to out a body on that kid. Going into the period 1-0 would hqve been enormous.
It sickens me MSU fans are celebrating right now - they were a heavy favorite and we just gave the game away lets be real

And maybe with us beating bc and bu maybe we will flip some kids to come to UConn. And we will see what of the 5 kids we have coming in at 2027 will come next fall instead. Those 5 will be in the draft this summer!

And we do have a big defesman that's 6-3 coming in that's already drafted by St Louis blues so they will have a good defesman core!

Played their butts off the last two weekends.

But it’s, fundamentally, a very cruel sport.
