I do not think that is clear. Losing to Merrimack will drop us a lot. And if Princeton beats Dartmouth it is really uncertain. UConn needs to win just to be sure.
The paths to the tournament are pretty clear now.

If UConn wins, they get an auto bid.
If UConn, Princeton, and Ohio State all lose, then UConn gets an at large bid.
If UConn loses, and either Princeton or Ohio State wins, then UConn misses the tournament.

You can check out the NPI probability matrix on College Hockey News to see the probabilities for where each team can finish. According to that, UConn will finish either 13th or 14th in NPI.

Yeah, they have a tool which confirms what I said although I didn't bother to include Ohio State. I was headed to bed.

There is also an extremely small chance we can play ourselves up to a 3 seed, but we need to win, along with both OSU and Princeton. This would actually knock Wisconsin out of the tournament and we’d finish above four champs (Mankato, OSU, AHA champ, Princeton)

Of course, this requires the most important thing… WIN TONIGHT

Just curious, here's what the Garden looks like right now. Not sure if this is a good sign or bad sign or us. We're on the right side of the arena (especially 12/13/14), but Merrimack fans were on that side too...

Doing some back-of-the-napkin math this morning, this is what I'm seeing. (This assumes Denver beats Duluth at home tonight, I'd be shocked if that doesn't happen)

Beat MC - We'll probably play #3 Michigan State in Worcester, but the committee could send us to Loveland, CO, to play #4 Western Michigan (although I think they'd rather have us in Worcester and Mankato in Colorado)

Lose to MC, Michigan/Dartmouth win - We make the tournament but where we go is very uncertain. The committee could reward Merrimack with Worcester, sending us to Sioux Falls against ND (which would be brutal) or Loveland for WMU.

Lose to MC, Princeton and/or Ohio State win - Ice Bus stays parked until October.

Anyone hoping for Albany can forget about that. #1 Michigan is virtually locked into playing the Atlantic champ there. The Wolverines will be the #1 overall team regardless of the B1G championship.

Also, we probably don't want that crazy scenario that somehow gets us a 3 seed. We would be the last #3 and almost definitely would be sent to Loveland to essentially play a road game at Denver.

Duluth upsetting Denver could make the opponents different, but tl;dr... If we win tonight, we're probably playing in Worcester. If we lose, we might be heading out west or the season is over.

Not sure if anyone wastes their time but the bc interruption folks always have a way to make it seem like bc was better than they were or were somehow cheated, no matter the sport. It sucks when UConn, New England's team, has put you in the rear view mirror in every NCAA sponsored sport they play.

"On one of BC’s first period powerplays, the puck appeared to have slipped by UConn goalie Tyler Muszelik after a scramble near the net. But a referee blew his whistle while the puck was very briefly covered from his view, waving off the goal that followed a second later. And because the whistle was blown, Boston College’s bench wouldn’t have won a challenge.

"Overtime was brief. Tristan Fraser pushed a shot past Cloutier’s left pad and the puck trickled into the corner of the goal. UConn won 4-3."

They would've lost the challenge anyway because one of bc players put his stick into musenelik. Even the nesn announcer said that's why the ref waved the goal of immediately. But it doesn't matter we won. BC is just pissed that they lost to UConn. They thought they would've blew us out of the water since they had three first round picks. Well we know now bc and bu fans are sour losers. All UConn has to do is win today and piss them off more!
