UConn MHOC @2026 Hockey East Men’s Championship Tournament > Semi-Final Game v. Boston College (Fri. 3/20/26 @7p @TD Garden, Boston MA). NESN

That was a great game it was nice to see our offense getting going. If we can do that against UMass and get good goaltending than the skys the limit. Moose played great the only goal that he probably should've had was that first one. As long as musenelik can work on that we should be good. I bet you pandoflo is having nightmares already of us!

Merrimack leading Providence 2-1 with less than 5 minutes remaining

Providence ties it at 2 with a wild tip with 3 minutes left

Anyone buy seats for Friday yet? Worried that it’s gonna be hard to find a UConn section with two Boston-area teams and UMass Amherst there

Hard to believe that Hockey East is only going to get two teams into the NCAA’s. It’s going to make for great hockey this championship weekend!

Must win game for all the teams involved
Yup - 3 at-large bids probably got used up yesterday with Quinnipiac, Michigan State and Providence all losing. Looks like we have to bring a HE title home next weekend.

We can skate with them all all. Now let's execute!

There might still be a path to 3 with a UConn-UMass final or if Merrimack were to beat us in the final. We definitely need St. Thomas, Michigan (gross), and Cornell/Dartmouth to take care of business in their tournaments though.

Augustana losing last night probably means we have to beat BC to get an at-large spot. I'm not seeing a path to an at-large with a loss Friday... but I think a win clinches a spot for us unless there are 3 bid-stealers.

Either way, we've never won Hockey East before, so let's win the whole damn thing and get a semi-home game in Worcester or Albany!

Three is a possibility. Two at large and the auto. If UConn wins at TD Garden, PC and UMass will get at large bids. And if UConn loses to UMass, it is still possible. Also if BC wins it all. Or Merrimack wins it all. Still a lot of possibilities, none of which can be discounted at this point.

UConn-BC at 7 pm (probably closer to 7:30), men's basketball game at 10 pm... sounds like we need a postgame spot to watch the men take down Furman too

If you ever get a chance to see the Furman campus, do so. Gorgeous. They should lose to UConn by a very large amount, though. Almost not worth watching. They came up here and gave UConn men's soccer a game though in the NCAA tournament. Circa 2005. The year UConn last won it all, whenever that was.

Dartmouth is going out in the semis in Placid. You heard it here first. 😉

Is there an official "UConn section(s)" on Friday night or is it just get a seat and hope you aren't surrounded by BC folk?

13-18 in the current NPI.

13. UMass, likely in. Guaranteed with a win over Merrimack.
14. St Thomas, beat Augustana, still needs the autobid unless both UConn and UMass lose in the semis.
15. UConn, win vs BC and in. Lose and out.
16. Augustana, likely out, only get in if St Thomas, UMass and UConn lose their next game.
17. Minnesota State, need to beat St Thomas for the CCHA autobiography.
18. BC, need to win the HE autobid.

The school sent out an email last night about basketball tournament tickets and at the very end, it said they'll send out info about the HE semis today.

There are plenty of tickets available on Ticketmaster right now. My guess is that we'll be at the end of the arena near Loge 6 and 7 (don't say it...) since we're technically the home team as the higher seed against BC. We shot the opposite direction twice last year against BU since we were the lower seed.

Essentially, UConn and UMass should be using the Bruins benches and shooting the Bruins' direction in the 1st and 3rd period, still need to hear something official from the school...

Also do you remember what section we sat in last year??

I looked back on last year's pics from when I was getting curious about tickets for Friday. In the semis against BU, I sat in Loge 18 and there were a good amount of UConn fans, although I don't think it was technically a UConn section. The BU band and student section was in like 319/320 and I think our band was somewhere around 327. Of course, we were the 4pm game and the Maine/NE bands were on the opposite end for the later game, which we have this time...

Maine fans also took over the building last year so I'm hoping BC fans show their typical lack of passion and don't do the same.
