Anybody who has seen enough hockey knows that the drop of the puck is kinda random. Not totally so but anybody expecting any conference to come in and wax another is fooling themselves.

Gotta start Tung this Sunday. I respect Cavs rotating of goalies during the regular season as we had two good ones but we are in Ride or Die season.
One win from Frozen Four. Do not overthink this

.-.
Maine is the top seed in this Allentown bracket, and they gotta play a road game.
They were a little undisciplined but it was sure officiated like a road game. Give PSU credit. We'll have to play close to mistake-free to get the result. But we're playing well and it's doable.

Do you know what the home and away sections were today?

It was this:

Called back:

Lower Bowl: 101-103
Upper Bowl: 202-203

Our band and Maine's were in 201. Since that's the side the LV Phantoms use as the home team, I assume we'll use it again Sunday (tomorrow!) as the higher seed.

Just finished the 3 1/2 hour drive back to CT after the 2nd period of the other game. Can't wait to do it all again on Sunday, we're gonna need all the help we can get because the Penn State fans are wild

Maine got hosed having to play essentially a true road game as the 1 seed

That being said, UConn got fazed under the bright lights at the HE final in the face of a massive hostile crowd. I know Cav will have them ready this time

Ugh. I'm not. I just finished the drive back to DC. Stopped at bonn place in Bethlehem for a couple of more beers and got a sub from a local shop.

3h 10m later back my bed

pre dawn observations;
anybody else think of our HE final performance while watching the Black Bears last night?
5 penalties for UM ? We gotta avoid that Sunday. As Joe Morrone used to yell at us…Discipline!
Neutral zone giveaways are poison…we can’t do that Sunday.
PSU….worst helmets ever. Looks like reconditioned 60’s era football hand me downs.
Thosee announcers sounded like they had PHDs in cliche speak...
If we can win at hostile Alfond Arena we can win in Allentown.
Muz or Tung can both get the job done.
GO HUSKIES!

State College and Hartford are almost the same distance to Allentown, but you gotta factor in all the eastern PA people who love the Nittany Lions

We can definitely beat either of these teams but PSU barely missed out on the Frozen Four last season so you better believe they’ll be extra rabid if they advance at “home”
And there are a ton of Penn State alumni in eastern Pennsylvania. It would be like UConn playing in Bridgeport. Yeah it’s not on campus, but you could fill the place with alumni from New Haven and Fairfield Counties.

4 hours? Did you travel by stage coach? 2:45 with traffic. 2:30 if you hammer down.
Where do you have cruise set? I will calibrate off you answer for my planning. I usually set it at 77.

I paid $8 to park at the 8th and Walnut garage. It’s also south of the arena so convenient if you’re heading out on Lehigh Street back towards I-78.

Assuming I can figure out a way to get my ticket into my wallet, I will be in Section 103 row 11. Also at the UConn pregame. Hope to meet up with some posters here.

Do you think there is any concussion protocol or concern about the hit Tung took yesterday?

Was there, but on other end of ice and didn’t get a good look. He looked woozy / out of it for a good couple minutes.

Hope he gets the start the rest of the way

.-.
I was there last year. I want to say like 20.00 but I can be misremembering that.
Edit I see people are correcting it above.

Good luck to UConn. Hopefully we’ll have a well played clean game on both sides. At the very least it should be a great atmosphere for those in attendance. Pissed I’ll miss my Lions potentially going to The Frozen Four, but life gets in the way of fun sometimes.

The question in my mind about tomorrow is, do we think that Sergeev's weaknesses are well known by the Huskies? Because there is nothing worse than facing a really hot goalie in the tournament.
