UConn MHOC 2025-26

I can't wait for the season to start. I'm wondering who will replace shandor on Muldoney and Richards line. I have a feeling probably either our new foward draft pick Alexis blais or chl alum carlin something his last name is going to be tough to pronounce. And lastly who's going to be the fourth line I think whoever is not on Richards and Muldoney line like returners murtagh, Frazier, and karpman. Also you have the two new freshman forwards Sasha bosvieert and Joseph oydenic which are from the chl. Those players will have to play hard in training camp to earn the last 4 spots on the foward game roster. I think Frasier, karpman and murtagh will have competition due to the chl players coming in!

And also I got my tickets can't wait to see the new renovations!
 
On a side note its funny how some posters went dark when we had our great run last year. Their hatred of UConn or Cav or both forbid it i assume

Well I always was a fan since they joined hockey east. And yes I was little bit crucial about cav especially that bad year they had but he surprised me. Also I always thought you had to pay to have a account on boneyard!

He certainly looks good on paper. Seems like a demotion from an NHL coach position; curious why he is available to a non-blue blood college team - did he just want to come back to CT (went to Yale); need a change of scenery?

Not a bad ranking I think UConn could climb the ladder. A lot of these rankings mean squat especially when UConn smoked bu in the hockey east semis. It doesn't matter how many draft picks you have it matters how you play like a team. If it's about me me well you won't go anywhere!

Is he married? Perhaps to a CT girl? Btw, UConn finished 7th in the nation last year. UConn may be a newbie to this blue blood thing, but this has got to be a very attractive place to be. Besides, if you have a young family there is no better place to be.
 
Nice article. Cav has always given her credit; that's one of the things I admire about Cav. Always giving credit to others. I can't wait for the season to start!
 
We are exactly a month away from the season opener against Colorado.

I must say, as a fan of every UConn sport, it’s so much more exciting/satisfying having a respectable football product and a top 10 men’s hockey team coming off a great season to be the appetizer in September/October leading into the main course of men’s and women’s hoop in November.

I totally concur. And if you have any ability to control the weather, we would like the rest of the fall just like last Saturday with the exception of the UAB game.
 
I hope single game tickets go on sale soon because me and Buddy bought the Hartford package and my other friends don't want to buy the package. They want to just go to the Ohio State one for now. There's one row left in front of us. So I'm hoping at least three seats that are near us are available still!

Understand these things are the view from Boston, and UConn lost a lot. So not surprising. But it will surprise none of us who bet the over when it happens.

We only lost two starters in terms of skaters ( i think). We did lose TUNG that is true, but still we're bringing back most of the crew.

And Schandor. I was at Allentown. UConn lost a lot. That is the perception from Boston. And two starters, of course, is 33%. It is what it is. If they are wrong, it should be easy to prove.
 
Schandor is a huge loss. Not only on the ice, but off the ice. Hopefully the next captains will lead as well as he did.

I get the Boston thing, that's probably what causes us to be in the middle.

But we definitely should be somewhere in the top 4 by the end of the year.

We are losing by my count maybe 4 skaters - Schandor, Spetz, Carabin and I think Larkin (was he a full timer?). There is a lot of talent that is coming back in '25 from a team that just made the HE finals and should have made the Frozen 4. Probably like 9 of our top 10 scorers are returning.

Not trying to diminish the loss of Schandor and Spetz, talking more of a numbers and performance angle.

My biggest question is how Hendrickson looks as the backup to Muszelik. If he can give us anything close to what Tung did in the second half of 2024, that's huge.

One point behind 2nd place Providence (who had 3 first place votes). Not that it means anything but most of the coaches must have had the Huskies 2nd or 3rd on their ballots.

Glad the "swoosh" is gone, but there is an awful lot of white dead space between "UConn" and the waist stripes. I think I'd prefer keeping the lower yolk, with UConn down lower on the chest, and putting "Huskies" on the left opposite "Hockey East" where it was last year, on the right. Both would be on the old lower yolk.

I would assume that the one vote that Maine got did not come from Maine. Interesting.
