Soccer is a cruel sport.

Marc Hubbard (former UNH coach who led them to the sweet 16 and who I wrote numerous emails to our AD pleading for us to hire this Hurley in the waiting in our backyard when Ray Reid retired) was that close to leading NC State to the championship in year 2.
