Within first minute Hurley talks about 50/50 balls. That was very frustrating yestrerday. More than once a single Creighton player outhustled 2-3 UConn players to get a loose ball. There were also 2-3 Creighton shots that were so far offline, their deflection off the rim hit a UConn player and went out of bounds. Finally, Martin hustles so much for rebounds but he had 2-3 rebounds touch his fingers and go out of bounds to Creigthon. In sum, about 6-8 extra possessions for Creighton.
Hurley also mentioned needing to find a second scorer. He didn't mention any player as needing to get better. For example, he didn't say "Cole needs to solidify himself as our second scorer" or anything like that. It's obvious the staff still has no idea who they should be scheming more plays for on this roster.
