Article from Borges on the best games on the schedule.

The UConn men's basketball team's 2025-26 schedule features numerous marquee bouts, in Storrs, Hartford, on the road and at neutral sites.

In all, the Huskies will play at least 10 games against teams that could be ranked in the preseason AP Top 25 poll: St. John's (twice), Creighton (twice), BYU, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Illinois and Kansas.

Here's a look at five can't-miss games each, either at home or, if your budget allows, on the road or at neutral sites:

Without reading, fairly easy to guess: BYU, Florida, Kansas, StJ 1 & 2.

The Illinois & Arizona games also very cool as Illinois at MSG & will be a Euro invasion, so curious to see how that works. AZ has two lottery picks on their roster.

Texas in a rebuilding year, but Miller always runs a well coached team.

You don't even read your own sponsored alternate access? You really are distracted these days. ADHD? 😀

Borges writes about the best 5 home games, the best 5 road games and the 3 neutral site games.

Meh, love Davey, but I don't need him to tell me what games to get excited about. God bless his heart. But yeah, I do BY between work stuff to let my brain breath. I need the good stuff, like 611 predicting the starting lineup and how new euros are lottery picks.

I got a headache reading those arguments from 611. Just so strange.

I was curious what they said about Newark. Alex says, "Next." They are not losing there again this year. We better hope after all these losses there in a row they've finally learned their lesson.
Oh I will be in Newark in UConn regalia that night - couple PATH stops is super easy.

Am I being unreasonable if I say 17-3 should be the realistic target? Split with St Johns, pencil in the annual cursed Newark trip, and keep a buffer for a game where another team plays out of their mind (thinking Creighton)

I want to be cautious because 18 wins was the best season ever in 2024 and this team isn’t 2024 level, but the middle and bottom of the conference aren’t looking very good..maybe one of Marquette/Nova/Xavier snipes a home game but I don’t see a lot of teams that should be able to stand up to UConn and St John’s this year

Those last 3 losses in Newark were nothing short of dark magic.
2023 Hurley had covid, missed the game, we blow a big half time lead.
2024 Arguably our best team ever and we were soundly beaten, Clingan injury was a scare.
2025 Strangest loss I can remember, couldn't inbound the ball, Hall missed dunks that led to 3s, 20% FT shooters sinking them on miracle bounces, banked in 3s, truly inexplainable.
Dark magic is really good way to describe it. Ponder this: UConn has won more in Omaha, Creighton's home court, than Seton Hall's home court in Newark the last 3 years. Also, UConn's combined total point differential the last 3 years at Creighton is better than their 3 years combined point differential at Newark. SMH.

I don't know if it's overly optimistic, but being cautious is the way to go. Spooky, cooky, and wacky stuff happens in conference play and one of the dregs of the league will put up a tough game against UConn. St. John's and Creighton will also have a tough game with one of the dregs of the conference as well.

Like I said, I’m going to get a smaller package or maybe pick and choose games to attend. Screw Hartford. I like the drive to and around campus, I have good stops on the way and back established. I have a good parking situation for GP. I won’t be driving down during week nights, that’s for sure. All I’ve been saying is that, once again, GP’s schedule is much better, and given where I live, I have no real reason to renew my XL tickets.
You're both right. @HooperScooper is correct that it is not much further. That said, especially a weekend game, It's fun to hang around campus before hand and remember the good ole days. When I first moved here, I used to go to weekend soccer games. Traffic was so much lighter then and it was a fun thing to do.

The closest game for me is always at PC. I'll be in Boston for BYU, but I always try to get to the PC road game. It's actually a nice venue, very few bad seats.

He’s a troubled soul. I believe his parents were die hard Diana Ross fans and it just seeped in
No needed
Everyone has an opinion on players

So XL season ticket holders get shafted again. Maybe not quite as bad as last year; but cmon man

Now that I live by Worcester I’m probably going to sell my XL tickets and get a 4-game Gampel package. The package last year was solid from what I remember seeing.
Hartford schedule is incredible this year. We get Michigan State, Texas, Nova, and St. John’s. I can’t see how anyone wouldn’t be thrilled with the split.

Not giving away my parking trick for GP, that in itself and not dealing with going into and out of Hartford itself is a huge plus for GP. I know raw time on the road isn’t too different.

Also, I was on my own last week, had a couple days off, took the puppy to and around campus on a week day, drove back mostly along 44 but popped up to Woodstock to check out the Treehouse farm (holy crap, mind blowing) and the other brewery nearby, then finished the drive on beautiful backroads. Versus fighting to get in/out as fast as possible and deal with parking in Hartford. That’s part of the calculus too for me

Your proximity to 395 makes that backroad route a nice option for day games. I've done it, taking Rt. 6 from RI, stopping in Willimantic for beer and food, but that road is crappy in RI. Maybe I need to explore new route options.

I always wish we had more afternoon weekend games at Gampel. Trying to get home after a night game just doesn't work. A day game lets you walk around campus, enjoy things even after the game.

Over the summer we were at her folks’ place in Cheshire and decided to take the 95/395 route home and realized how conveniently we could get down to Mystic or coastal RI from where we are via 395. Definitely a pleasant surprise of moving to the area

I think we all knew it would be early with a Knicks game that night, but both TicketMaster and the UConn Tickets website list the Illinois game as a 12:30pm tip. Still listed as TBD on the UConn Athletics website schedule.

easy to get to Mohegan for the BC exhibition game.

Im flying in from Arizona to see my family and would love to go see UConn vs Arizona. I've been a UConn fan since Dom Perno days and I miss seeing UConn games live although I was lucky enough to see them beat Purdue in National Championship out here. My question is does anyone have two extra tickets that might be a little cheaper than what im seeing which is over $200. I know I have not been on this site for awhile posting, but I read it almost everyday. Sorry for the long post.

Tickets will most certainly be cheaper than that if you can wait til closer to game day

Miya floats out his F4 towards the end (I skipped most of this). Two obvious, Uconn and then one Uconn OOC opponent.
