UConn Men's 2025-2026 Basketball Schedule

I’m curious to see how Floridas new backcourt fits in with the team. They had dependable shot makers last year which carried them to the title. How reliable will Fland, Lee and the Browns be this year ? Can Lee and AJ Brown make the jump up to the SEC and sustain their past production game after game ? This backcourt should take a step backward compared to last years backcourt.

But, I think the key to our game with them will be the frontcourt play. They have a big, talented trio with Condon, Haugh and Chinyelu who like to rebound and control the rim. Can we keep them off the glass and limit second chance points and register a plus rebounding game ? Silas will be a big add this year and we may see Jaylin playing a lot of minutes at the three in this game to give us more size.
Very confident that our shooting will be much better than it was in last years matchup.
There is a lot to watch play out with Florida. Arkansas was a much better team when Fland went down last year and I mean much better. He certainly shows flashes but wasn't all that efficient and didn't lend to the team concept all that well. The mid major call ups are a crapshoot. That said Walter Clayton was exactly that and he worked out well. Lee doesn't strike me as an SEC type guard, but who knows. Clayton was awesome, but let's not downplay how good Richard & Martin were. These were men, older guys that averaged 13-14 pts/game. Martin played in a F4 with FAU. These are not 3 guys that are going to be easy to replace.

There isn't one team this year that doesn't have some moving new part that we have to watch play out. This is where the coaching comes into play. Purdue would be the one team that has proven talent, but they also have limited upside athletically.

Agree. They can not and did not replace the production that Clayton, Martin and Richard put out. They were the reason they beat us last year. I think we will out produce them in the backcourt which is why I think controlling the frontcourt play will be the deciding factor.

Not just beat us but beat everyone. I think our front court holds our own in that one if Tarris avoids FT. There are ways to neutralize the 3 big set, stretch them out, back door them. Their offense was largely run by the guards and they loved the high post. I think the fact that we scouted them and executed (not shot) so well last go is our advantage.

Florida his huge in the front court.
Micah Handlogten 7'1"
Ruben Chinyelu 6'10"
Victor Mikic 6'11"
Alex Condon 6'11"

I think we can abuse Olivier when on the court. He is not fast so he can't go out and guard. If we are shooting well from three they won't be able to keep these big guys in to long.

You're missing their best one. And you can only play so many of these guys in one game. Not really too worried that they are super deep at the 5. It's not an apple picking contest.

Dan Hurley’s Huskies could be established national title contenders by the time they host Butler on Dec. 16 to open the conference slate, which was released on Thursday afternoon. Tip times and TV information will be made available at a later date.

The RuffRuff Alternate Access:
Big East schedule released for UConn men’s basketball: See when & where Huskies will play

Here's the entire Big East schedule. Nothing says let's get this party started like a PC at Butler tilt 3 days before any other BE game.

FOX Sports, the BIG EAST’s television partner for the last 12 years, will continue as the conference’s lead network provider, with NBC Sports and TNT Sports also providing comprehensive BIG EAST basketball coverage:
  • FOX Sports will feature at least 80 BIG EAST men’s and women’s basketball contests across the regular season and postseason beginning in 2025-26. In addition, the FOX broadcast network will remain the home of the BIG EAST Men’s Tournament Final through 2031.
  • Peacock and NBC Sports will present more than 60 men’s and women’s regular season and BIG EAST Tournament games. Peacock launched its coverage of BIG EAST men’s basketball in 2024-25 with a package of 25 regular season games and five early round and quarterfinal conference tournament games.
  • TNT Sports will feature more than 65 regular season BIG EAST men's and women's basketball games airing on TNT – as its primary network – along with TBS, truTV and Max, beginning with the 2025-26 season.

Marquette at Gampel on a Sunday during winter break, while Nova is at PBA on the first Saturday after winter break ends is a joke, but happy to have more Saturday games this year.

Yeah that’s weird. Last years home game vs PC was that same Sunday during football season. I don’t get that one.

I assume they didn't want to have to do 3 PBA games in a row. They likely preferred "wasting" Butler and DePaul at PBA than worrying about Marquette at Gampel (people will drive from Hartford on the weekend for that one).

So XL season ticket holders get shafted again. Maybe not quite as bad as last year; but cmon man

Now that I live by Worcester I’m probably going to sell my XL tickets and get a 4-game Gampel package. The package last year was solid from what I remember seeing.

Texas, Villanova and St John’s isn’t exactly scraps.

From a TV standpoint, I wish that St John’s weeknight game was in Gampel

Way better PBA (XL) state than last year. Texas and St. John’s will be 2 of the best games of the year.

Marquette and Creighton in Gampel again. Only one good weekend game in Hartford. You can’t tell me this season is much of an improvement over last. For me in MA, it’s just not worth it. As far as the Texas game, I’ll be going to BYU in Boston

Honestly, the difference going to Hartford as opposed to Gampel is like 5-10 minutes extra from up here. I did the same thing at first, thinking Gampel was so much closer, but because campus is so far off I-84 it really isn't that much of a difference.

Like I said, I’m going to get a smaller package or maybe pick and choose games to attend. Screw Hartford. I like the drive to and around campus, I have good stops on the way and back established. I have a good parking situation for GP. I won’t be driving down during week nights, that’s for sure. All I’ve been saying is that, once again, GP’s schedule is much better, and given where I live, I have no real reason to renew my XL tickets.

It’s not that bad of schedule.

Last year we were all complaining about the fact we had 1 Saturday game. This year we have 4.
