UConn Men's 2025-2026 Basketball Schedule

73 days until game one. 73 days……man what are we going to talk about for 73 days? Plus news is going to be slow for the next few weeks. Danny on vacation no practices. Just a content desert. I guess the NFL will fill some of the void in a few weeks.

Vacation is over. Kids are back on campus this weekend, classes start Monday, and offseason practices will continue then. So maybe we'll get some more news.

Would be nice to check the box but so many other amazing OOC games locally that doesn’t make sense to go midweek. Need more than just that game to make it worth that kinda trip, like a cool nearby city or if the Chiefs were playing that Sunday.
If enough people are going I can create a Lawrence visit post on the travel page.

Flight to KC you mean, right? Wait until you see ticket prices for the game. Single game tickets aren't on sale yet. Upper sides are about $700 on StubHub, corners less (packed in very tight over there, students have most of the corners). Where are you staying for $150 that you can walk to AFH? The Oread is really the only walkable hotel and it is already sold out (and would be more than that). How are you getting from MCI to Lawrence?

Not trying to discourage any Husky fans from the trip, I hope many make it, just being realistic. The TownePlace Suites on New Hampshire downtown is nice and is $215 for two Queens. SpringHill Suites is a good location too, an old mill on the river that used to be an outlet mall. I would not trust air travel on the day of the game, but that's just me.

This game being a Tuesday is a bit of a bummer. Debating whether to make the effort, if I do it will probably be so I can introduce another Husky fan to AFH.
The flight to Lawrence was actually cheaper than KC. The Hilton I booked close to the stadium is now sold out that night.

Seems you got one of the last rooms at the Oread perhaps. Hopefully UConn will host a pre-game event in the lobby bar again. It was fun last time.

I don't see any flights in to Lawrence from Bradley or PVD. Never heard of anyone flying there.

Football starts in a little over a week. You can follow the program to help the time pass.

If you can get to the Rent I'll give you a ticket free of charge.
If I lived in CT I would definitely take you up on your offer. Never been to the Rent but my dad worked in East Hartford at Pratt for many years. Split his time between that location and the factory in Southington off Queen St. So I remember when they used those runways to conduct tests.

I remember my good friend who has since passed making a big deal about it more as a joke because he could not believe they turned runways into a football stadium with basic bleachers.

I have not kept up with the improvements from that initial field but assume they have been significant since I remember it being pretty basic when it first opened. At least from what my friend told me after going to one of the first games that they had there.

Yeah I am getting old.

Maybe beerfan has his own plane and is flying from executive airport to executive airport. I am guessing Lawrence has one or two of those so their players can take their private jets back to school when they return from holiday breaks ✈️

You have to go

BDL to ORD to LWC is pretty much it

I don't even see that. Or any regular commercial flights.

I have to wonder whether beerfan actually has a flight to MCI (KC), because when I search for flights to Lawrence it gives me flights to MCI. It's an hour drive and rental cars are fairly cheap out there, just fly to KC. Lawrence is worth exploring anyway.

When I typed in a flight to LWC on American they said they can’t find that airport

I think @beerfan needs to check those tickets.
