I'm not sure UConn brings more than 1,000 people to Barclays and that is being generous.
I can't fault UConn for taking the game at all due to ESPN2 exposure and a name opponent, but with a home football game that night the vast majority of ticket buying fans will be there. Not to mention unless you live in NYC there's no way you're getting to BK for a 6:30 tip.
I would say no big deal, UConn will put the hoop game on the scoreboard, but they said that for Michigan state only to cut away to pre game video of the marching band.
Again, great for tv exposure, horrible for the fans that try to buy tickets and see the team.
