The team has picked one helluva a great time to jell and peak! Through the tourney's first 4 games, we've improved on our regular season's nation leading ppg, defensive ppg and scoring margin averages by 3 points, respectively.

Season averages: 82.2 ppg - 49 defensive ppg - 33.2 scoring margin
Tourney averages: 85.2 ppg - 46 defensive ppg - 39.3 scoring margin

Along the way we've embarrassed (2) very solid, Top Ten teams in Maryland and Kentucky.

The Frosh are playing like upper classmen and Bria is rounding back into AA form at just the right time!

Go Big Blue! :)

The Uconn team that showed up in Bridgeport is the team I hoped to see all season. No one on what was Baylor's side of the bracket should be able to beat them. ND will continue to play their game, which involves its best players with the ball in their hands and a green light to shoot whenever they want.

What's going to be a problem for ND is that a) they still don't have an answer for Stef, b) they definitively don't have an answer for Breanna if she plays like she did in the regionals, and c) that then takes some of the ability they have to frustrate and marginalize KML. Uconn still has the issue of not forcing themselves into bad situations on offense, but if they can take even a little bit better care of the ball, they win this time.

The final question: can the frosh play like they have under the bright lights of the final four? Many a great freshman has wilted under those lights.

Another problem for ND - they may not make it to the championship game. ;)

Alex, another problem for ND is that they have already beaten us 3 times this season.........Its very hard to beat a team four(4) times in a season unless you have vastly superior talent , and that is not the case here. Also, the stakes are much higher now.
