UConn Kicker Michael Tarbutt Moving Forward With Confidence After Rocky 2017 Season (M. Anthony)

I hope we have a backup to challenge/replace him if he misses critical kicks this year. Kicker should be like any other position. If you aren’t doing the job next man up. Just let him kick off where he is very good.
 
Graham and Magliozzi will compete at punter. Is there someone coming in this year to back up Tarbutt?

If the blocking is there he'll be OK.

This is what, the third moving forward article we've seen? To paraphrase Tuco (the ugly), "When you have to make kicks, make kicks. Don't talk."
 
Specials were ugly at the practice I went to. Tarbutt can kick the ball about 100 mph, but kicks were getting blocked left and right. RE said they weren't all his fault in the article. I witnessed a couple of Brett Graham punts that went about 20 yards. A couple others looked good, but wildly inconsistent
 
We need to look for a backup kicker.. if Tarbutt can’t get the job done we have no one to step up..
