Apparent Replacement for Special Team Coordinator/Coach Chris White

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Head Football Coach in the organization and administration of all phases of a Division 1 FBS program including game preparation and the recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes; assist in monitoring academic progress and development of student-athletes; community involvement; and other program duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree; seven years’ experience as a football coach at the collegiate FBS or NFL level within the past eleven years; previous experience coaching special teams; working knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; and excellent organizational, teaching, communication and public relations skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ten years of collegiate coaching experience at the Division 1 FBS level.

Sounds like we are probably getting get a guy to run our Special Teams that's been around the block a few times... Looking forward to findin gout who it's gonna be on signing day...

Thought we'd get an announcement this past Christmas part 3 (signing day 2/7/18). Now that Edsall's entrenched in place for a full year I suspect we'll go back to how he used to do some things... Like provide an updated roster when Spring ball starts (no sooner) along with the anouncement of a Special Teams coach...

I predict that that none of us will know anything about this coach, people will get excited about the hire, and want him fired by November.
If this was Fiasco's staff, I'd agree with you... I trust Edsall a little more...he'll get it right...

If this was Fiasco's staff, why the hell would we need a special teams coordinator? Granted, Bob might hire a coach to constantly remind the players that they are 'special'... But it's not like punt returns are important! ;)
