UConn in the Pros December 2025

I don’t disagree overall. Just saying it’s not a crazy prospect to look for Giannis in a trade overall.

I could be talking totally out of school as someone who follows the NBA from the periphery, but Giannis kind of strikes me as a diva who would be bad for the movement that the Spurs seem to be mounting right now.

.-.
He just passes Magic to become the youngest player to have 30/10/5 over 70% FGs.
He also matched up against Luka for the most of the game with that stats line.
What's amazing is that kid could have done so much more offensively at Storrs, but it really wasn't needed. He was a defensive stopper/glue guy in his only year in college. Damned that team was stacked.

I hope for the day that you stop turning every thread into "Smarter than thou" debate...
I hope for the day people stop disagreeing with something just because I said it. We all got hopes and dreams.

He could’ve been an All American as a freshman if he had the room to be.

Lucky for us when Newton decided to come back it was too late for him to care one way or another actually.

There was very little question of Newton returning. Castle certainly didn’t commit under the assumption that Newton would be gone.

Just shut up man. Just such a disingenuous argument overall.

Truthful conversations are never possible on this board when people just lie like this.

I'm sure he will be on a minutes restriction but cup semifinal got more interesting

I didn’t get the cup at first and I didn’t care a ton the last few years, but can’t lie it makes the early season games more interesting. Both these games tomorrow are super intriguing.

He was one of a bunch of guys who declared to get feedback but never seriously considered going early.

Castle committed super early. We already had two point guards on the roster. Newton came after that with two years of eligibility. The two years was one of the big selling points at the time. If Castle had been concerned, he would’ve done something when Newton first committed. On top of that, he was openly pushing Newton to come back after he declared in April 2023. Doesn’t sound like a guy who would have left if he had known earlier (although I’m sure you will now tell us you weren’t actually saying that).

Let me ask you this: How could Steph have considered whether he'd play alongside Tristen when Steph committed five months before Tristen committed?
Wouldn’t that add to the point of Newton not being a factor when Steph committed even more?

This thread and him not withdrawing from the draft until the literal last minute says there was very much so a question about him returning.

What are you lying and trying to revise history for?

same boat but just from watching it seems like the players at least care and play harder than they do in a normal regular season game

I’m sure everyone knows that Pat was a 4 year All American in lacrosse at Loyola Maryland and won the award for best lacrosse player. He went to Northwestern to play basketball for a year because he said basketball was always his first love. Went to play in Europe and then went to the G League and now he’s the starting PG for the Warriors. Probably just until Curry is back. They showed the clip when they were guarding each other in a game. Pat was smiling and trying to back Cam down. Cam didn’t crack a smile at all. Pat missed a turn around jumper.

I wouldn’t want anyone getting between between those guys . They are both too intense.
Never get between brothers

It's OKC over the field to win the title at the end of the season and they're going to break the wins record, IMO. I think a healthy Spurs and a healthy Nuggets are the only ones who could possibly play spoilers.
