Putting this here until the December NBA Thread is up.

But man Shai really is unstoppable it’s crazy. These are difficult shots that don’t even touch rim off balance.

I needed 25 from him to cash my parlay and he had 16 before hitting these shots back to back to back. Never a doubt!!

What does SGA have to do with UConn in the NBA?

.-.
They broke down the sophomore class on the Game Theory Podcast and they showed a lot of love for UConn guys. They both agreed Castle is the player they’d want the most from this draft class. There was even a Jimmy Butler comp (12:20). They continue to love Clingan’s defense and are happy with some of his offensive progress (1:10:15). And there was even some fawning over Sam Vecenie’s favorite player, Cameron Spencer, Esquire (1:52:00).

you can easily ignore it, we got like 4 guys actively contributing to rosters, the thread would be dry if other NBA topics didn't come up
The answer for why it’s here is also in the post.

But reading comprehension seems to be hard on this board.

The reason seemed to make no sense because it was in fact included in the December UConn in the NBA Thread. Perhaps you posted it somewhere else and was merged into the thread by an admin?

another strong night for Cam in a loss, I don't wish injuries on anyone but hopefully Pippen Jr and Jerome don't return until sometime in January, need Cam in the rotation so he can get in the 3pt contest. His efficiency is nuts right now

He's such a great player. The shooting and playmaking is there every night.

Clingan also had a solid game. He's a solid 10-10 a night these days. I think with an actual PG his scoring should go up also. They just aren't a good passing team right now.
Jrue Holiday and Scoot Henderson have been out. Hopefully when they are back they can create some good plays.

6 assists on top of that scoring in those minutes is crazy

Cam is the man. Pretty sure Armando Bacot still has nightmares featuring Cam. Let’s hope Memphis is smart enough to keep playing him when the roster returns to full strength.

Yeah they have been through it with PGs this year. Went into the season with Lillard out for the season, and Scoot hasn't played yet. Then Wesley went down in game 6 and Holiday went out in game 12. So it's been 9 games with no PG available. Deni has played decently but, even though he gets assists, his court vision isn't the best IMO.

Yeah playing with a playmaking wing who gets 20+ points a game is different than a PG dedicated to get other guys involved.

And his brother is going off for a career night against the defending champs. Tied his career high with 17pts and there's still 5 minutes remaining.

Chris Paul just got dumped by the Clippers...

That’s an NBA body if I’ve ever seen one. 🤣 Just mess’n, love Cam!

I’ve been slacking on my daily summaries but a few things have stood out this year

Cam Spencer is averaging 10.8 points per game, 3.6 assists per game, 2.0 rebounds per game shooting 47.8% FG and 47.1% from three (!!!). He’s getting 20 minutes per game. Awesome to see

We haven’t talked about Castle for a while because he’s been injured but he was averaging 17.3 points a game, 7.5 APG, 5.8 RPG on 49.7% shooting before the injury

Liam’s minutes have been ramping up over time. 10 minutes per game in October, 13 in November, 19 in 2 December games so far. Just scored a season high 10 points last night

Clingan has up and down performances offensively but overall is averaging a double double (10 and 10) with 1.4 blocks a game in 25 minutes. 35% of his shots are threes and he’s shooting 24% on them, leading to an overall FG% of 48% which is very low for a 7’2 C. But he has had a miraculous turnaround in his FT shooting, at 81%. He shot 60% last season and even lower than that during his two years here

Not going to try to pretend Hawkins isn’t having a really bad year, but has scored double digits in his last two games for the first time this year. With Zion injured again, Hawkins REALLY needs to string together multiple good performances

Newton has been tearing up the G League. 27 points a game, 8.8 assists a game. 48.7% FG, 39.1% from three

I'm telling you, Cam's brain in an above average NBA body = MVP caliber player.
Sure, but he has 90th percentile NBA hand-eye coordination. I mean the guy would dominate at multiple sports, just not a 90th percentile run-jump athlete.
