I loved the article on Tricia and Carly Fabbri. Seems like an outstanding mother and coach raised a sensible, grounded, very good player and lovely young woman.
I will be watching the game as I always do but the last time Mom takes out her own daughter (not all the other young women she's impacted) it will be very touching.
Best wishes to both Tricia and Carly and while it will be the end of this phase of their lives, many more exciting and memorable moments lie ahead.
I have a 33 year old daughter whom I have lived through her basketball and sports careers(she's very good athlete but nowhere near this level as she's 5' tall. She's been teaching inner city, mostly minority kids for the past eight years and now gives all she can to those kids. She just completed the NYC half marathon yesterday so her athleticism continues. That's a very brief explanation of why this story touches me so.
