Can NBA players go back to college? I kid. Kind of, based on all the stuff going on these days in college basketball.
 
Cam and Jordan playing against each other in Memphis. It’s midway through the third quarter, and they both have seen some action.

He really is. Castle has star potential. Flagg is going to be a very good NBA player, IMO. However, he is still 19 and playing in his very first NBA game so asking him to go against a top level defender in Castle is asking a bit too much.

Flagg looks slow and unathletic. Smart player with good height. Im not sure his ceiling is as high people think. He definitely shouldnt be playing PG. His handle is weak.

I'd give Flagg the benefit of the doubt. He was going against Castle, who is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. Flagg looked decent when Castle was off him. Overall though, I agree, he should be at the SF/PF position with a real PG. The Mavs PG rotation is really bad without Irving.

Castle doesn't get many defensive stats but he shuts dudes down. The non-rookie whistle is going to help him a ton also (assuming he can convert FTs). Just sick first game.

Yeah pretty much what I was thinking. He is too slow and not good enough handle to play PG. He needs to play his PF/SF spot and he will be more effective using his height, length and smarts to score. Dylan Harper and Edgecombe looked more impressive and both were playing their first games.
 
McNeeley was a DNP-CD yesterday. Surprising considering the Hornets won by 20. Sion James even found 16 minutes

Tyrese had the most minutes off the bench for Brooklyn. Finished with 5 points on 2-8 with 5 assists and 3 rebounds

Drummond only had 2 minutes off bench for Philly. Embiid played 20 minutes, Adem Bona was first big off the bench with 14 minutes

Hawkins 17 minutes off bench. Took 2 shots (both threes) and 2 FTs. Made them all, 8 points on 100% and 4 rebounds

Just 1 minute for AJax, no stats

Castle 22 points in 28 minutes on 8-12 shooting. 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals. And apparently locked up Cooper Flagg. Let’s gooooo

Clingan 8 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block in 30 minutes including 2 threes. Didn't watch but twitter says he was a beast on defense

This isn’t the first time Kidd has tried this experiment. He did the same thing with Giannas.

I think this was out of necessity to get the best talent on the floor but he’ll have to reconsider.

I agree on Flagg too overall. He’s closer to Andrei Kirilenko than Larry Bird.
