UConn in the NBA Nov 2025

I dumped on him along with most others in the chat many games, but I hope he does well out there (unless we see him in the tourney of course). Danny had good things to say about him in his book. AM actually said he wanted to run it back with the good guys but it just wasn’t in the cards. Seemed like a good egg.

I hope to catch a game or two this year. UCSB is about 30-40 minutes from my home. It has the rep as USA's #1 party school, so he'll have fun off-court at the very least.

Will be nice if he does well. I am really curious if he's anything more than the player we brought in (low % high volume 2G that can't defend a real athlete). Kid was the most perplexing recruitment in Hurley's Uconn tenure.

I hope he settles in as a shooting guard an slight combo guard and is not asked to run the offense. Tough shoes to step into at UConn but should be soft slippers at UCSB

of course we wish him well. A rare miss in recruiting by the staff. Not his fault.
I wouldn’t call it a miss, maybe a misread? He’s a damn good player no matter what anyone thinks but it just don’t work out. Dan Hurley saw him filling a PG slot here and it wasn’t happening. Too bad for all, he’ll be good at this next stop and we’ll be good with Silas and Malachi. All good!

Here is a list of our guys through October…

Its seeming more and more likely that Jordan Hawkins NBA career is coming to an end which is incredibly sad. But if he can't find minutes on this NOP team which might be the worse team in the league, then he is in trouble.

Andre and Jordan are probably on the way out.

Gotta be thrilled with every other vet though. Steph and Cam are definitely outperforming expectations and Donovan looks like he's made a decent leap in performance.

Have we seen much of that?

His only chance is if a functional franchise figures out a way to reinvent him some. That team is a career kill.

I'm not saying Ajax career isn't hanging by a thread, however I see a why he would still be on a roster because of his defense and being a model teammate, could have a career as 12th man who could give you spot minutes at the end of a quarter/half that's a pretty good gig. Milwaukee kept him so they still see something in him. Hawkins has been highly dissapointing. Is Newton even on a G league roster btw?

Cam getting some 4th Q minutes with starters last night against Lakers, he's just a ball player. I think we all knew that, but I'm ecstatic to see him sticking in the league. What a story.

Hawkins, it's all been said. He needs a change of scenery and he needs to get some confidence in his J. If he can't shoot, he doesn't help much, and right now he can't shoot.
