Thanks very much. Are those drafted numbers, or numbers that actually played in the NBA?
They are guys that actually played in the NBA. Out of the whole bunch, there are maybe 4 or 5 that could be categorized as ”having a cup of coffee in the league”- say one year and less than 50 games.

The Spurs and Bucks play tonight on ESPN. Should be a good game to watch a couple of UConn alum.

Steph takes too many 3s when he just currently isn’t a good shooter. Whenever I watch he can get to the rim almost anytime he wants. Focus on creating and driving, then in the off-season he can start improving the 3pt shot more.

Steph getting the start tonight with Sochan out so both AJ and Castle starting, not cross matched tho

.-.
Man Steph REALLY just cannot shoot. They’re throwing Brook on him and daring him to shoot wide open 3s

Hawkins 4/16, his draft slot/salary is buying him some rope over 2 way/2nd round guys, only so much longer he can continue being this inefficient

He's fighting it out with some rookie named Kyshawn George for the worst shooter in the entire NBA.

Yikes. 2 of the bottom 4.

Worried about Hawkins place in the league. He has below average handles and below average defense for a 2 guard in the league. His role in the NBA is shooting and he's not good at shooting. He seems to be dealing with back problems which I'm sure is impacting his shot. The numbers are just ugly in what was supposed to be a big second season for him. He's way below the league average on threes shooting only 32% and he's the second worst fg shooter in the entire NBA.
Yup - was my fear with him coming out. He was hyper one dimensional. His NBA lifespan will be short if he can’t lift his percentages, drastically. NO was a great franchise for him to land in.

I was hoping Hawks issues were still back related. He may still have some issues but wanted to get back on the floor

If Hawk crashes out over the next year he'll still have plenty of time to shoot his way back into the league via the G-League or Europe, a la guys like Sam Merrill and Ty Jerome.

Not the ideal route.

About to drag this horse back in here, but it’s why it’s so silly to keep teaching our players shooting is what they should focus on to be successful in the league.

Even with Castle, it’d be perfectly fine that he couldn’t shoot if he was more confident scoring in other ways. But it seems he has to shake off the mentality of being a role player while here where people always hammered his shooting ability.

DC with his best game since returning from the MCL sprain and Chauncey Billups inexplicably decides to go small to close the game and Dereck Lively starts kicking their ass around the rim. Billups now putting in Clingan back in after the Mavs took the lead.

He put Clingan back in too late. That’s a frustrating loss. I agree that tonight was the best he has looked since the injury.

I’m happy Hawk took advantage of his start. A few people here voiced reasonable concerns about his shooting. FWIW, the Pelicans consider him one of their four players who are more or less untouchable.

Earlier this year, Marc Stein had reported via The Stein Line that the Pelicans had identified three young players who they wanted to build around, with everyone else falling on the trading block: Trey Murphy III, Herb Jones, and rookie standout Yves Missi. Stein has since added a new player to the list of Pelicans' untouchables: second-year scorer, Jordan Hawkins.

Way too early for that. Probably something mechanical going on with his shooting and New Orleans is a terrible hoops town. They stink.

He can shoot it. No idea why he has been so poor from the floor. He will get one more year and teams are gonna take a flier on his shooting ability.

Also, dejounte Murray is third worst? That is brutal for a guy with that contract

He takes a lot of very difficult threes. Even though he hasn’t shot well he gets defended as if he’s a great shooter. He just needs to shoot the open ones and pass up the harder ones
