Bucks don’t need another scorer as plenty of horsepower there with Lillard and Giannis. Lillard is also a bad defender, so Ajax is the perfect compliment to that roster as he essentially plays the role of perimeter Rodman. Least we not forget defense is half of the game. 5 guys wanting to take shots as their primary mindset has never worked in basketball.
Agree. Just adding Giannis is an intense player. Playing alongside AJ who plays defense intensely probably increases the motivation of Giannis. Cam loved playing for Hurley because of his intensity. Same with Liam. Like minded attitudes reinforce people.

When Dre was on the bench, they lost a bunch. When they made him a starter, they won a bunch. Even a dummy like me can follow that basic logic!

I love AJ but he is damn lucky to play on a team with so many offensive weapons. They don't need him to score - he needs to defend.
If he gets traded to another team he better work on his offense.
Nevertheless, AJ has done well for himself - Great job!!!

I don't think that's how it works -- the bonuses aren't additive round to round. From NBA Cup prize money: How much players make for winning title as bonuses increase in 2024

Nevertheless, he makes $1.89M this year. So it's a cool 27% holiday bonus.

I was going off what the announcers said the Lakers made last year. Could have been wrong, I’ve seen both sides reported.

Either way good chunk of change.

Gil isn’t wrong and is part of why basketball isn’t as good nowadays.

Coaches and players are heavily focused on xs and os and analytics and don’t understand how to play the game of basketball as much.

This Gianna’s thing is crazy but everyone is just going to talk about how OKC couldn’t make a 3. Like they should’ve been even taking those when they could’ve been attacking a star player in foul trouble. Smh

Cam Spencer is in as the Grizzlies are annihilating the Warriors.

Steph can’t buy a basket recently
He's had a rough couple of outings lately. He was glued to the bench for just about all of the 4th quarter and OT. Hopefully he can bust out of his funk. Guessing he may have hit the "rookie wall".
But he did have that sweet flush off a Wemby lob!

Cam Spencer scored more points in 8 minutes (5 points) than 3/5ths of GS's starting lineup the entire game (Curry/Looney/Green combined for 7). In fact, Green posted donuts across the stat line (0 points, 0 assists, 0 rebounds, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 0-4 from the floor in 19 minutes. OUCH)

What do you all think of my All-Star picks?

East is stacked! The west has a couple weak links.

Still waiting for this fact to no longer be true: Denver is the only NBA team that has never had a UConn alum play for them. That’s been the case for a while now. We could maybe adopt Jokic in the meantime. Give him an honorary degree.

Yesterday NBA -
  • Andre - rough game, 0 points on 0-5 (0-4 3P), 2 rebounds, 1 assist
  • Drummond - 10 minutes, 0 points, 2 rebounds, 0-2 (0-1 3P..???)
G League -
  • Bouknight - 17 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals, 5-12 FG (3-7 3P)
  • Newton - 18 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, 6-8 FG (4-6 3P)
  • Calcaterra DNP

Stephon, meet Donavan. Donovan, meet Steph Castle.

Probably a common occurrence last year in practice. Did look like Castle was hit on the arm by Williams(?)

Regarding Husky on Husky crime - A couple of years ago during Drummond’s first stint with the sixers, rookie Bouknight went to do one of his Sports Center dunks, and Drummond rejected it on an all (or mostly all) ball block that put James on his back. A real “welcome to the NBA” moment. Wish the ensuing years had played out differently

Yeah, he got swiped by that guy, but rookies don't get calls I guess.
