UConn in the NBA - April

Nah, those games were great. It gives incentive to finish in the top 6, rewarding the teams who were the very best over 82 games.
Ehh I really don't care great games sure I guess but if they were so great why were they only on Amazon prime then. Put them on ESPN/NBC to sell to the casual sports fan why the play in games are so great.

At least the play in games for March Madness are on Tru TV.

Prime is easily accessible for a huge amount of people. A lot of viewers don’t have cable anymore.

they were on Amazon Prime because that was negotiated in the broadcast rights deal, the streaming partners aren't getting "lesser" games, its 2026.

LOL!!! No, it isn't. Just stop. Yeah, a log of viewers don't have cable. Even more don't have Amazon Prime video
If your intention is to soley watch a play in game on a week night it's easily acceptable to watch on prime . Most casual fans are channel flipping so if it's on regular cable there's a chance it will catch a casual sports fans interest a bit there's no chance of doing that with it only being on prime.

Even the freaking NCAA gets it that play in games should be on regular cable thus it's this it's a chance to catch someone's interest channel flipping or going to a bar.

So I guess these play in games are umm not so great after all but hey it's on Amazon prime the NBA can act like this game never happened. An 8 seed dominating a 9 seed good run up the score.

Something like 80% of people in the US have access to Amazon prime. I believe cable TV penetration has dropped below 50% in the US. WAY more people have access to prime video in this country than cable.

How about those exciting blow outs last night. It's ok it was on prime it never happened.

Not UConn related.

But Tatum is finally giving up the side step 3 as his go to move and is killing it so far living in the post to start this playoffs. Finally.

SGA seems to have really woken up the stars around the league to what actually works.

Yea thankfully the guy who’s first team all NBA every year who’s already lead his team to a championship finally figured out what actually works in basketball.

Well there’s a reason he didn’t win ECF MVP, Finals MVP, and was benched during the Olympics. He also came back to a team that was second in the conference without him.

But you can have your head in the sand about it if you want.

Oh I know. All those things happened because of the side step 3.

Looking forward to seeing Castle vs Clingan. I actually saw a lot of both teams this year thanks to the league pass. Both our guys having solid sophomore campaigns. I could see Castle as an all star as soon as next year.
I can see Clingan as a future all-star as well. Especially if the Blazers make a leap.

Well now it's the official playoffs well it never really starts till the 2nd rd. I can't see anyone beating the Celtics it looks like they learned their lesson from last year with their over reliance on 3s.

Had an argument this year - some people have him All-NBA already.

I'm geeked for this Spurs run, but Castle being exactly what I expected and more is the best part of this season as a Huskies fan. Clingan right behind him.

IIRC-Spurs have three second round picks for 2026 draft. Right around where mocks have AK

Yeah - I haven’t cared about the NBA much, ever. I’ve followed UConn players in the box scores, but never became a fan of their teams. I’m slowly becoming a spurs fan - just can’t help it when our guy is a burgeoning superstar, and legitimately one of the most exciting players to watch. The two way aggression is a thing to behold.
