Looking at Western Michigan's "Where's" Waldo Stadium, it reminded me of old Shaefer Stadium in Foxboro with the luxury boxes in the end zone.

Was there back in 2010.

About as good as you can get. Desi's dad organized a tailgate in the fairgrounds parking lot. Open fires for cooking and alcohol were allowed. Easy walk to the stadium, bucket seats for everyone and beer was served at the stadium.

There wasn't anything bad about the game day experience other than Uconn getting shut out.

I'm hoping my schedule stays free for a return trip there. For fans travelling, the stadium and fairgrounds are right by the airport so you can get a free shuttle from the airport to a bunch of different hotels and then walk to the fairgrounds and the stadium.

I've been waiting for a L'Ville game in November so I can hit Churchill Downs in the same trip, but Thanksgiving weekend might be a problem. Pretty sure we are going to go to the MD game.

Definitely trying to make the Md game too. If I could find a way to combine it with a work trip to the DC area that would be great.

USF the first weekend of November is looking real good too. That's another easy trip with the stadium right near the airport.
