Has Taft increased the size of its rink? Built a new rink? My son played there twice. I may be mis-remembering, but the place seemed small.

Is the official UConn page on facebook going to continue to marginalize hockey by never posting any news? There's 162,000 fans of the UConn Huskies, yet there's only 730 for UConn Hockey. They didn't even throw up a post on the main page about ST's going on sale.

this is a great schedule. No picnic, that's for sure. I guess we play home and home Friday-Sunday with Maine and something similar with Notre Dame (with the Home game in Bridgeport). Nobody else is playing ever team in the league Home-Home, I don't think. But I assume it is because we're new kids on the block. I don't quite get the game at Taft. Huh? I guess they are using it as a recruiting tool, I don't really know. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Fairtides, I think Taft actually has 2 rinks. The only other nit I would have is there are zero games on campus. None. I do think that it is a mistake not to play a single on-campus game. At least try to build some student support. Sacred Heart would be a good option. And maybe RPI. Throw the students a bone at least.

They probably realize that once the on-campus ice arena is done, the students will come and are trying to build the non-student fan base first.

My friend and I are getting XL season tickets. Trying to lure a few of my football "crew" over to hockey. But I'm fired up and can't wait for the season! I may even make the switch to get season tickets at the on-campus rink, once it is ever built, if things go well.
