Was a thrill to watch, seemed like they were doomed with like 10 minutes left down 3-1 and it only got worse as time bled away... but 3 minutes left and they put one in. It was a fun one to watch.

This is huge. I have thought since we joined Hockey East that one strong season, plus a new arena (please make it bigger!) could put us in strong position to recruit and be a national power on a regular basis. Quinnipiac? UMass Lowell? UConn can be a destination school if we can break through.

Down 2 nothing at the start of the 3rd. They scored to make it 2-1. BC came back to make it 3-1. Then, with like 3:50 left they scored two. It was tied at the end of OT and UConn won the shootout 2-0 to get another point. Great game.

My Midwest hockey loving friends laugh at me when I tell them UCONN will compete with BC and BU. Most of them are University of North Dakota fans. UND traditionally struggles against all Boston schools. They all seem to think BU/BC are unbeatable. Looking forward to someday pointing to the Hockey East standings with UCONN on top.

Sounds like the type of game that could`ve made me an instant fan. Too bad i missed it.
