Wrenn was arrested for allegedly stealing shoes from Bob's Stores in Hamden in October 1998. He paid a fine and performed community service in order to have his record cleared.

Calhoun said he was pleased that Wrenn appeared to be making the most of a second chance to remain with the team after a troubled season, including the alleged tickets for boots swap at the Timberland Co.store in Westfarms mall. ----Charges were never filed, but the incident resulted in Wrenn's second suspension.
