Because Harvard is brilliant enough to take the opportunity. Why do they always secret scrimmage Harvard?
The better question is why not? Easy trip. Well run team.Because Harvard is brilliant enough to take the opportunity.
On the topic of scrimmages..
UConn never took the endowment seriously until recent years. They always got the money they wanted from the state.UConn's endowment is miniscule for a wealthy state's flagship.
Hillsdale College, in Michigan, with less than 2,000 students, has an endowment around $1 Billion. That's $1 Billion with a big "B".
They know how to raise money and attract large donations from the alums of major universities around the country, especially from those in the Midwest.
