The best part of that article was the intent not to have Williams play one down this year, thus saving a year of eligibility! I like to think the future can be bright with his athletic ability and don't want to lose a year of that unless it's absolutely necessary.

McLean stood out in the spring game.
Hope he plays more. I thought he would have a big year but can't do it from the bench.

I think we should get Donovan in there as soon as possible, especially if Diaco is in trouble and there is no hope of saving the season. It is always important to waste a year of a quarterback's career.(Pasqualoni, P and DeLeon, G. How to Destoy Your Football Program. Unpublished manuscript, 2011-2013)

LOL.

Credit to the staff that, in a 180 degree turn from their first year, they seem determined not to blow the redshirts of freshmen this year who don't have a material impact to make. I think only the long snapper and Allmendinger have played.

Wish one of Hashemi and Rutherford hadn't played merely to block on place kicks, but it is what it is.

I don't think there is any doubt that Williams is the perfect combination of Tom Brady and Michael Vick. I fully expect that his average season will be 4,000 yards passing and 1,500 yards rushing. He will win at least one, if not two, Heisman Trophies (would be three for sure, except for the UCONN / G5 bias). Why we are diddling around with BS I have no idea. We have a known star, history setting QB just waiting to get on the field. Diaco, needless to say, is an idiot and therefor has this 19 year old sitting on the bench trying to learn how to play at this level.

Now, if only I had ever seen this kid play.....even one snap.....maybe do a wind sprint or maybe a jumping jack......

This kid might see the field when BS gets hurt, I don't truly believe Anderson would last long as a starter.

Interesting side comments on Newsome. He seems to be really struggling this year. I wonder if he is hurt. RJ, other than keeping the football, is a completely different back than last year.

I believe it's the result of him trimming a few pounds. He looks much more mobile out there - almost like shades of his freshman year when he holds onto the ball.

From a Mike Anthony piece the other day in discussing his absence on Kick Off Returns:

>>He's a little banged up and it's important to rest him where the opportunity presents itself. That doesn't make it easy."I look at [Diaco's] point of view — he wants to keep me healthy — but I love it back there," Newsome said. "Whatever they want me to do, I'm going to do<<

>>Everything is going great," Newsome said. "I'm working hard to get in treatments and doing the best I can to stay healthy. I definitely have a feeling [a breakthrough performance] is coming soon."<<

Maybe he did P90X with Eddie Lacy.

He added some mass, and I wonder if it's hurting rather than helping.

Just out of curiosity has pal called for Donovan to start yet? Clearly he must be the best quarterback we have
