“Just knowing the system, knowing how things go, knowing the expectation and knowing what’s required definitely puts you a step ahead.”
There’s a caveat, though.
“(Coach Geno Auriemma) expects the same from everyone, but I definitely think the things that might be OK for a freshman to do wouldn’t necessarily be OK if I did them,” Poffenbarger said. “But I mean, that’s expected. He doesn’t bring you here to hold your hand through it all. You have a week and a half of leniency and then it’s like, you better know.”

Nobody knew that Saylor was injured, certainly not me. She'll be competitive. That's why you're there, that's why you practice, that's why you play the game. The numbers will go up.
