Currently missing two from my list (could be a semester timing issue?):
  1. Hayden Bozich (OL) - Steubenville, Ohio > Brown University (UConn Commit 12/15/24) (Transfer Portal)
  2. Sammy Anderson (DB) - Dayton, > Cincinnati > Austin Peay (UConn Commit 12/20/24) (Transfer Portal)
In addition to the incoming 18 transfers, the following eight incoming freshmen have enrolled for the spring semester and will be available for spring practices and workouts: defensive back Axavier Bridges Brooks (Upper Marlboro, MD), defensive end Nykobi Brown (Valdosta, GA), quarterback K'saan Farrar (Virginia Beach, VA), cornerback Osiris Gilbert (Duluth, GA), offensive lineman Hill Greenlee (Dallas, TX), offensive linemen Joe McGann (Lagrangeville, NY), cornerback Saxton Suchanic (York, PA), and tight end Xavier Watson (Waverly, NY).

FWIW.... They also have the 2025 spring roster up including the on campus FR ( minus HT's/ WT's). Don't know if I trust it because I already see some mistakes (as usual by Uconn) like K'saan Farrar not listed despite being mentioned in the press release above. But someone who is listed in the QB room is a grad student named Joe Fagnano, so we shall see, ;)

And, from the looks of things, we're missing one from the QB room that was supposed to be a true frosh coming in early... Was here during the bowl game in fact... or did I miss him on the list? I triple checked... didn't see him... hmmmm????

As I said he 's missing from the spring roster ( a typical Uconn IT error) but not the release....

Where did you see Bozich is stepping away from football? I'm trying to find anything on that and I just see he's committed to UConn.

Scholarship players missing from the published roster:

Jack Stewart - OG / who was injured & did not play in 2024. It seems he has another year of eligibility if he wanted to use it.
Kaleb Stewart - LB / was in the portal, then rumored to be out of the portal and staying
Kervins Choute - DL / has one more year of eligibility....hopefully this is a mistake! He got regular back up snaps on the DL last year.

If these are accurate, then we have perhaps four open slots.

He started in 2019. For 2025 that's seven years.Minus the covid year. Minus the redshirt year. That will make five. He will be 25 years old?

I imagine a mature young man/player who has played a lot of football and coming off the season he had will be tough to beat out. It would be saying a lot of any player who does...

that might be the argument? For funs I looked at the roster and they do progress him from senior to grad student between the 24 roster and the 25 spring roster.

I don't know what rules are. If he's finishing up school is he allowed to play with the spring practices? I mean, if you're effectively training players I don't see why not. If he can't play in 25 then I'd have him work with the lower string guys on the side. But yeah, does he have another year?

Hoping it's only because he wants his bachelors degree in May to say Brown University and not UConn but that is just a guess.
