Same. Not sure how I feel about Vandy as a "buy game" opponent. We've scheduled home and homes with way better teams. With that being said it is a 2021 game, and I believe we were still looking for at least a handful of games for that season? I'm definitely not going to complain about playing a beatable team from the SEC when we have scheduling holes to fill in a short period of time.

Vandy needed a hole to fill bc Houston backed out. Nothing more than that. Beatable big time conference team. Sign me up. Don’t need home and homes with every team.

But I think what happened is their matchup with Houston got cancelled for some reason and needed a home game for 2021. UConn needed a 6th way game for 2021 and Vanderbilt is full OOC until 2025.

The home schedule's gonna be relatively weak most years, especially initially. The stronger opponents will most always be the 1-&-done pay-out road games (Ole Miss, Clemson, Michigan, Ohio St, etc). We'll get some decent home games in later years that will have local fan appeal (Syracuse, BCU, Temple). Sprinkle in some other mid-lower tier P5 schools (UNC, Maryland, Purdue, NC State, etc) and it won't be all that bad.

We need 2 more home games. Maybe we work out something with the Big 10 for cancelling Indiana and Illinois if there is a 2020 season.

What a nightmare that game was. UConn had so much talent on the field, but the sideline was like a bad circus show. It should have been an easy win. Just a precursor of things to come.
