Imagine, UConn dominating a P5 team. I've said it before, UConn had earned its seat at the big boys table. Conference realignment and monopolistic practices conspired to harm UConn. They should be receiving reparations.

Fun time for all.........except my cousins from Indiana who came in for the weekend. They had always smugly dismissed our basketball team (1999 cured that) and the loss to our football team was also a bit shocking.:)

Huh, so we would have perhaps 14 back ups .

COVid and COVid tracing has thinned our available players. Edsall playing by the book on this stuff - which is the right thing of course.

Edsall talks about the current team virus/quarantine numbers in more detail in his Dibble interview...

That day in August 2003 was like a visit to Disneyworld for a 6 yo kid
My eyes were all over the place and most of the game I was just taking in the sights and sounds
In fact that whole 1st season was a carnival at the RENT (no disrespect to Memorial Stadium)
Then UConn got down to business and we witnessed some awesome OBE games
Then came the collapse of the OBE and the start of the AAC (not that the AAC is a bad football conference) and the RED PANTS debacle.

That was fun, but bittersweet knowing what would transpire in CE and the general degradation of CF.

Maybe it’s me, but I turned it off. Frankly, just made me miss UConn football even more. Gonna be a long year.

The NFL plug around the -43:50 mark that mentions Drew Bledsoe and the Patriots taking on the Bills the following week snapped me back to reality on how long it's been.

* just busting your chops, Gioff.
