Something seriously wrong when this kid has good speed for his size (and sounds like agility) and was consistently stopped on short yardage plays and had few medium size gainers. Could the UConn offensive scheme have been even worse than I thought? Nice if he can get an invite to a camp.

“Had he gone to the Combine, his bench press of 24 reps would have had him tied for third-best among all offensive tackles that participated. His 30.5-inch vertical would have had him tied for the second-best among the who participated. Plus, his 9-foot, 5-inch broad jump would have landed him as the second-best.”

I'd say there's a better chance of Mensah just not having game speed compared to work out speed. It was painfully obvious he was slow on the field. No burst, no accleration, no top end speed. I can't see any way he makes a roster, even as a practice squad player.

I don't know if opening up the pro day like this is unique to Mora but I think this is just great. Makes UConn look classy. Creates good will at a low price.

It seemed something wasn't right with Mensah in 2021. Look at his stats over the years:

2017: 561 yards rushing, 4.5 YPC, 4 TDs
2018: 1045 yards rushing, 4.6 YPC, 6 TDs
2019: 1013 yards rushing, 4.5 YPC, 9 TDs
2021: 314 yards rushing, 3.0 YPC, 0 TDs

I hope he gets a look from somebody.
