For any who may have read this and been the least bit interested. the Warriors won their semifinal game 40-6 and play in the Victoria bowl next weekend. While as a lineman Ben wouldn't have much in the way of stats, although they did run for almost 400yds. Matt Edwards had huge game. 80 yd fumble return for TD, 15yd Int return for TD and a sack resulting in a safety.

Good on him as Aussies would say. Haven't heard of the league up in Sydney but best of luck to him.

As a last update on this post for those of you interested/ Ben Chapman and Matt Edwards Monash Warrior team won the Victoria Bowl yesterday by a score of 30-13 over the previously undefeated Geelong Buccaneers! (gotta love those Aussie names)

Congrats to the Warriors and two great Husky alums, Ben Chapman and Matt Edwards.

Kudos to our Huskies and any US gridiron players getting an opportunity to have some fun, teach the sport, and explore the world. The Aussies playing are likely the equivalent of, or less accomplished athletes, than most US college rugby club team players. Nothing's wrong with enjoying a sport the Aussies now can watch in NFL broadcasts down under, and some post-game beers. Good for all involved.

Not much is exciting about Geelong or Monash. The former's just a small, non-descript city about 45 miles Serah Williams of Melbourne. As the final is named the Victoria Bowl, the Monash team's probably comprised of students at one of the State of Victoria's Monash public university campuses in and around Melbourne.
