-> UConn head football coach Jim Mora announced the program has received athletic aid agreements from 12 incoming student-athletes on National Signing Day. The newest members of the program represent seven states.<-

It looks like the only one previously announced who didn't sign today is Elijah Whitaker. Anyone have any intel of that?

He’s either waiting till the February period (he still has his UConn commitment pinned) or pursuing other opportunities. My sense is the latter. We’ll see.

I feel bad for saying this but the first thing I look at when viewing a commitment announcement is their offer list. Happy to have all of them though, welcome to the Pound!
Nothing wrong with this method of judging a class, and the offer lists for these guys seem beyond what we have seen in past years. All have multiple FBS offers, seven of twelve have P-4 offers including a couple with offers from perennial top ten teams, lots of service academy and Ivies mixed in as well.

Why would you feel bad about that? It's a pretty normal thing to do with recruits and recruiting.

-> The incoming class includes three defensive backs, two defensive linemen, two offensive linemen and a pair of linebackers, in addition to a tight end and a receiver. UConn also signed a quarterback, K’Saan Farrar, who is one of the top players at his position in the state of Virginia.

The newest members of the program hail from seven different states. None are from Connecticut.

Since seeing an increase in NIL money, beginning last offseason, coach Jim Mora and his staff have focused on the transfer portal as a main avenue for adding both talent and experience to their roster. But they have made clear the importance of building relationships and developing high school players. <-

I know what you mean but there are lots of positives:
-We've been noticeably on an uptick and that draws interest
-The offer lists are really impressive on a number of players
-Bryant was only on a couple......

To your point, when I saw a 5'9", 155 lb, defensive back (Osiris Gilbert) I started scratching my head as to why we would want such a small guy at DB and then read the offer list which included: Arizona State, Cincy, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State, Syracuse, Tulane, UAB, UCF, USF

And remember, Russell Wilson was a two star recruit!
