Donovan is well known to be an impact player in Florida. In my eyes, he is a huge get. Credit to Edsall for identifying him and getting him in the door. I think he's going to be a fan favorite. Shocked Miami or UCF didn't go hard after him. (maybe they did)Young man has that off the edge energy/quickness we've been missing since Trevardo....
agreed, I was thinking the same thing - a 21st century style TE like WallerI was somewhat leaning towards this being the case for him. Looks like he has the skill set to play the position in a role more similar to the Travis Kelce's and Kyle Pitts' of the TE world.
Was curious if he would eventually end up there as well. He’s got the frame for it and his athletic ability would seem to play much better from that position than as a WR. If he bulks up, should be a mismatch nightmare.I was somewhat leaning towards this being the case for him. Not really yet but I guess Passmore/Brinson could be classified there in some respect as they were two previous staff commits but quiet on the social media front. Are there any surprises?
Are there any surprises?
Yep, still lists Uconn (Jeff Moore, Don Brown at work ? )None yet. Only verbals not to get a Twitter NLI announcement are Mountali from Loomis
1 no surprise signings
2 only 9.
3 we had 13 commitments under RE
4 in 2017 with 34 days to recruit we had 21
not a good start

I'd rather us wait and see if any bigger pieces fall than sign players just to sign them.1 no surprise signings

In 2017, UConn wasn't also coming off historically the worst season in college football with a coach building new relationships in an area he's never recruited. It's apples to oranges. Mora has a better staff in place and, imo, has out recruited Edsall in his first year.1 no surprise signings

Based on roster spots, I think we are close to done with HS recruiting with the exception of a HS QB or a top player. That would leave 10+ spots for portal kids.1 no surprise signings

Look at the Fitzgerald’s latest couple tweetsNone yet. Only verbals yet to get a Twitter NLI announcement are Mountali from Loomis and the ODU WR transfer
So, are most of these Edsal recruits who decided to stay, did Mora close the deal on some guys the previous regime was on, or did Mora bring in some new blood that wasn't on our radar?
I'm assuming more of the former.
