UConn fills 2022 schedule with home date v UMass

Comparing the 2022 UConn and UMass schedules, the only mutual open dates are October 22 and November 5.

And Liberty just re-signed Freeze for $4m/year. Guess Hugh isn't going to Blacksburg.

Interesting that UMass is willing to only have 5 home games next year.

Probably more like only able to have 5 home games.
If I were UConn I'd try to sell UMass on the ability to sell the game as part of their season ticket package in exchange for each game (every year) being at the Rent. Superior facility, bigger capacity/feel than playing at the glorified high-school field that is McGuirk, wear red vs. blue uniforms and turn it into a "rivalry" weekend.

In the unlikely event (near-term) that the season ticket sales rise to a level where this becomes impossible to support than you revise.

Game will be November 5th per UConnHuskies.com

Forgot we play Michigan

4 must wins: UMass, CCSU, Ball State, FIU.
I agree. Should be at least competitive in these games to show we are actually making progress.

CCSU should be a given.
UMass coming off 1-11
FIU coming off 1-11
Ball State is difficult to say coming off 6-6

We will already play 2 games before we play Syracuse. I’m sure we will be well scouted but FWIW we are their first game of the season so anything could happen. I’d be surprised if we came out with a win but wouldn’t be shocked if we played well.

"In the unlikely event (near term) that the season ticket sales rise to a level where this becomes impossible to support"... then you re-erect the temporary stands from the Michigan game under the jumbotron & seat the Minuteman fans there.

First scheduled game for Syracuse. Most likely will have to open up with a conference opponent week 1, so they will be spending more time scouting that than us.
