Oof that’s a rough start to the year.2022 schedule in its entirety is here
Home slate is:
CCSU
Syracuse
Boston College
UMass
Fresno State
Liberty
Rentschler Field.Where is the BCU game being played?
Probably more like only able to have 5 home games.Interesting that UMass is willing to only have 5 home games next year.
Oof that’s a rough start to the year.
If I were UConn I'd try to sell UMass on the ability to sell the game as part of their season ticket package in exchange for each game (every year) being at the Rent. Superior facility, bigger capacity/feel than playing at the glorified high-school field that is McGuirk, wear red vs. blue uniforms and turn it into a "rivalry" weekend.Probably more like only able to have 5 home games.
I see 7 or 8 wins by early October, only halfway through the season. 14-0 and national championship, here we come!!!I'm going to ask Fishy to give anyone who says they see 7-8 wins next season a throat punch.
I see an 11-0 recording heading into the playoffs. Let's go!I'm going to ask Fishy to give anyone who says they see 7-8 wins next season a throat punch.
Is that you Bob?I see an 11-0 recording heading into the playoffs. Let's go!
4 must wins: UMass, CCSU, Ball State, FIU.
Michigan is the potential loss on this schedule. 11-1 Next year.
this is better than most aac schedules we had- not all- but most. should result in some nice attendance numbers. every home games sans liberty is a nice opponent you would wanna take your friends and fam to watch.
I agree. Should be at least competitive in these games to show we are actually making progress.4 must wins: UMass, CCSU, Ball State, FIU.
3 less would be deflating.4 must wins: UMass, CCSU, Ball State, FIU.
We'll need a signature win.2022 schedule
Forgot we play Michigan
"In the unlikely event (near term) that the season ticket sales rise to a level where this becomes impossible to support"... then you re-erect the temporary stands from the Michigan game under the jumbotron & seat the Minuteman fans there. If I were UConn I'd try to sell UMass on the ability to sell the game as part of their season ticket package in exchange for each game (every year) being at the Rent. Superior facility, bigger capacity/feel than playing at the glorified high-school field that is McGuirk, wear red vs. blue uniforms and turn it into a "rivalry" weekend.
In the unlikely event (near-term) that the season ticket sales rise to a level where this becomes impossible to support than you revise.
First scheduled game for Syracuse. Most likely will have to open up with a conference opponent week 1, so they will be spending more time scouting that than us.I agree. Should be at least competitive in these games to show we are actually making progress.
CCSU should be a given.
UMass coming off 1-11
FIU coming off 1-11
Ball State is difficult to say coming off 6-6
We will already play 2 games before we play Syracuse. I’m sure we will be well scouted but FWIW we are their first game of the season so anything could happen. I’d be surprised if we came out with a win but wouldn’t be shocked if we played well.
