uconn fall baseball

fallball! when does it start at uconn? hopefully we can get some of you guys on campus telling us whats up at the cold afternoon scrimages. i remember when i got on campus(wneu) fresh year the open tryout for the team was the 2nd week of school and then by the 3rd week of school we started team stuff and got goign right away. fallball must be coming sonn for the team...

I do believe they have an expanded "final fall series" of 5 games around Oct. 15th. It used to be a 3 game series. I believe it starts on a Wed. and finishes up on Sunday.
Otherwise, I believe they play 2-3 games a week until this finale. Did anyone find it strange that the fall roster was pulled with a note that spring roster coming in the future?

There's fall schedule for baseball? How come all the other sports with fall exhibitions (softball and lacrosse) post theirs but not baseball?

Yes, they are intrasquad games only. With 35 players they have enough players to play 2-3 games a week.
Very little info about UConn baseball at this time of ther year.
I do believe they held a game between current players vs alum last year.

yes they play a alum game in the fall every year, sometimes its a big one and sometimes its a quiet thing i think. a coach/trainer that i spent my hs years around outside of hs baseball was a pretty good player for uconn. he has a good time up there every year from what i used to be told.

They are open to the public. I went to a game 2 years ago. There were mostly family & friends. I did overhear the conversations of two scouts in attendance.
Check UConn huskies.com for the playoff schedule in mid Oct. The games start at 3 on weekdays, and either noon or 1PM on Sat. & Sun.
