During the last two years I keep reading about the lack of competition UCONN receives playing in the AAC and how it going to restrict their ability to recruit and compete for a National Championship. So I did a little research and found that UCONN Women have complied the following record against the so-called major conferences.
1: ACC: 51 - 13 AAC: 42 - 0
2: Southeast: 44 - 15 Big East: 487- 108
3: PAC 12: 26 - 9
4: Big 12: 26 - 3
5: Big 10: 29 - 8
Also in the 34 year history of the NCCA National Championships the following Conference's have won:
1: Big East 9 - UCONN 8, Notre Dame 1
2: SEC 8 - Tennessee 8
3: Big 12 5 - Baylor 2, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech
4: Pac 12 2 - Stamford 2
5: ACC 2 - North Carolina & Duke
6: AAC 2 - UCONN 2
7: Western Athletic 2 - Southern California
8: American South 1 - Louisiana Tech
9: Sun Belt 1 - Old Dominion
Louisiana Tech won as an independent in 1982.
Can't wait for the season to begin.
