Job Posting: The University of Connecticut is seeking applications and nominations for the full time position of Director of Football Strength and Conditioning.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The development and administration of the strength/conditioning program for the UConn football team; strict compliance with NCAA regulations and policies of the University and the American Athletic Conference; assistance with practice and game-day duties including pre-game/practice warm-ups; collaboration with Athletic Training staff as to the monitoring and rehabilitation of student-athletes with injuries; and assistance with communication of strength program organization to prospective student-athletes and parents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree; five years of experience (within the past eight years) at a FBS/FCS/NFL level as the head or assistant strength coach for the football program; a registered strength and conditioning coach (RSCC) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or a strength coach certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA); and a demonstrated knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree; CPR/First Aid certified.

Man I really feel bad for the student athletes. How many S&C coaches/directors has this senior class had(including this new hire), three? These kids just can't catch a break. Constant shuffling of coaches and S&C. Different schemes and philosophies every freakin year. Just no continuity what so ever. No wonder these guys don't improve. They are too busy learning the playbook all over again and again and again. :(

any weight that the entire coaching staff including perkins are following Drew Wilson from colorado?

ties to edsall and CU has a new coach in place...

He also has edsall ties. Worked at Maryland from 2011-2015 and at UConn as assistant director before that
