Man does this fan base deserve to be in a small time conference.
Let's see how you feel about it in 20-30 years. In my younger days, no problem. Now? Just not feasible.

I wonder if UNC and Auburn were embarrassed last night?

Or UNC and Dayton were embarrassed by their start time Monday night?

Suffice to say, the start time has nothing to do with being embarrassed. As a matter of fact, I'm happy for our fans in Maui, starting at 6 PM should be a lot more fun for them than starting at say 8:30 or 9:30 AM. Although I know they'd rather be playing in another game, there's always a silver lining to be found :)

Let me sum it up this way. Our team, our players, our coaches, our program can never embarrass me, butt some of our fans certainly can

Midnight had already been the scheduled time for the 7th place game before the tourney started. Deal with it. We've stunk this tournament and deserve what we get. It's up to Hurley & the team to get it together and play better basketball.

I don't think we should ever play in the aloha state again.
With Hurley's penchant for superstitions and karma...I'm guessing there is a pretty good chance that a Hurley team never steps foot on the Hawaiian Islands ever again.

They get stuck playing 2 early morning games which I always hated for basketball. Morning games suck. Then relegated to playing midnight eastern time. Yeah, I don't think we should ever play in the aloha state again.
Maui has given some great memories to UConn fans. It was where Kemba's star was born vs MSU and UK.

We had a couple bad games. Lighten up Francis!

In a weird way I feel like losing here and bottoming out could work in the end. This could be the year or the Phoenix, rising from the ashes to win a third!

Might not be bad for this crew to have some real humble pie as have heard a lot of “two time defending champ” talk and what feels like over-confidence. 0-3 in Maui would force a taking it back to the drawing board approach, look in the mirror and make this group of kids realize they have massive strides to make. You don’t win just by putting on a UConn jersey. Staff also has to cut the fat off the rotation and be ok pinning good kids to the bench. This whole depth thing was overstated, play your best 8.
Yeah, I think they got that message with the 0-2 start in Maui. Going 0-3 in Maui and the likelihood of missing the tournament becomes a harsh reality.

I will now putting my corn beef brisket and turkey on the smoker today around 6p to help me stay up.

It's a casual fan trick.

I’m in my 40s it used to be the biggest party night of the year. (I think still is ) I think we’re all still going out tonight. Get home by midnight -pop it on and hopefully stay up. lol. Only the hardcore fans watch tonight. Me and my boys were planning on a 9-10 o’clock tip against UNC or Iowa State to go out and watch the game -that killed everything. Damn weak defense and brutal refs - lol

Hard to reflect much in games smashed together while on a speck of jungle beach in the pacific during Tgiving week.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet Dayton to cover (but I still think UConn will eek it out).
Probably will be down to the wire again and I dont trust this team in close games

Dan could send a message to the team and the world by starting Singare, Abraham, Ross, DIaby and Nowell. If the starters want in, they'll have to earn minutes by playing UConn defense. (Also, when this crew picks up 8 or 9 fouls in the first three minutes, he'll have a decent bench to look to.)

What's the worst that could happen? We lose?

I have only seen 1 game so far. Game 4. I should be able to watch this one live.

Tomorrow's turkey prep will be a bear, tho.

Thankful I’m out in WA state visiting the in-laws, 9p is much more manageable. Let’s get a damn win!

We better put on our Big Boy Pants and MAN -UP, or we are going home with a 3rd L!
Gotta show the heart and toughness of a CHAMPION.
