They compare our seeding and the West Region overall to the polls and rating systems. The top 5 West Region teams are all in the rating systems' top 11 teams.
Only quibble I have is, the writers and coaches polls are not an "eye test". A trained monkey could fill those out - win, move up, lose move down. It is no more complicated than that. Apparently the only people that are unaware of this are on the NCAA selection committee.
